A very special email

A couple days ago, we received a very special email. It was from the aunt of our son's birthfather. She made this incredible video/music montage for our son. It made us cry. I hope it brings beautiful tears to you, and reveals some of the tenderness we have in our hearts about adoption.

Adoption can be, and is, a very beautiful thing.

(PS-- the last series of photos with Brae at the zoo were taken by Brae's birthfather's side of the family. It was our first visit with him since the day Brae was born. One of my favorite pictures is of Brae on his birthfather's shoulders, with his Daddy (my husband) walking right beside him).

If that is not the ultimate picture of redemption, I don't know what is.

oh dear, I cannot get the video to play. It could be my Mac? I will try it on DH's laptop tonight. I look forward to seeing it!!

I have been "secretly" following your blog for quite sometime now and you are very uplifting. Thank you for sharing so much about your world and the opportunity to learn more about Embryo Adoption. I'm on my way there and love to read about others going through the same thing.

Sept 28, We're pregnant! Beta 77
September 18, transferred 2 expanding blasts
August 2010, set for a September 18 transfer
July 2010, waiting for direction about thyroid, and to be set for a Sept or Nov transfer
July 2010, we are matched with our two genetic families and will be adopting, God willing, 7 embryos
June 6, 2010, mock transfer and appt went well; thyroid levels out of whack, new medication ordered; dr theorizes I have mixed egg quality due to thyroid disease
April 2010, got a call from NEDC scheduling us for a June mock transfer in Tenn
February 2010, officially started embryo adoption path
Fall 2009, did a clinical trial for a hormone release patch; learned do not have an ovarian reserve issue, no blocked tubes, no cysts, limited/no endometriosis; unexplained infertility
Fall 2009, were planning to start domestic infant adoption again in Jan 2010, but God started planting seeds for embryo adoption
October 2008, our son was born to us through the miracle of domestic infant adoption
October 2008, learned our two embabies were taken to heaven, "Charlotte" and "Sam"
September 2008, met our birthmom for the first time
September 2008, S/A showed high numbers, good motility, and good morphology (75%); harvested 12 eggs, fertilized 10, but only 2 embryos kept growing, transferred those two grade A embryos (8 cell and 6 cell)
August 2008, started IVF process after going through several failed adoption leads
March 2008, miscarried "Faith"; unbeknownst to us, our son had just been conceived in another woman's belly; officially on adoption wait list
March 2008, found out we had gotten pregnant on our own (with Clomid)
March 2008, were planning to do third round of IUI with Clomid, but missed appointment because we had an adoption class to attend
February 2008, second round of IUI with clomid, no pregnancy
Jan 2008, started domestic infant adoption process
January 2008, first round of IUI with Clomid, no pregnancy
December 2007, got on Clomid
November 2007, S/A performed, borderline morphology (appx 25%)
September 2007, First saw doctor about anovulation, long cycles. Would later learn anovulation/long cycles are symptomatic of thyroid disease; have had thyroid disease since age 13
August 2007, Started officially TTC
February 2007, Went off birth control (10 years)
November 2005, Married my best friend
